The Experience
Welcome to Athens! After clearing customs, you’ll meet your Students Fare ambassador who will transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore this amazing city.
Your private guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a personal tour of the city. Highlights of your program will include a visit to the Acropolis, the new Acropolis Museum housing floors of artworks, and a stroll through the heart of the ancient city, the Agora. After the tour, you may wish to explore the alleys of the wonderful flea market or enjoy a rooftop cocktail overlooking the city
Today, your private guide will take you on a tour of the National Archaeological Museum, which houses endless masterpieces of Greek history. After your museum visit, tour the charming streets of Plaka at the foot of the Acropolis. Plaka is rich with shops, cafes, and art galleries, making it the ideal place to spend time exploring. Tonight will be a very special treat, as you get to watch the sun fade behind the Temple of Apollo in Cape Sounion.
Your driver will meet you at your hotel this morning and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Crete, the largest island in Greece. When you land, your Students Fare ambassador will assist you and transfer you to your hotel where the balance of the day is at leisure.
Today will be full of exciting activities as you embark on a full-day tour of Crete. You’ll explore the old villages and cities with your tour guide, taking in the diverse culture the island has to offer.
This morning you’re off to one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, the ancient Palace of Knossos, home of the Minoan civilization and considered Europe’s oldest city.
A morning transfer takes you to the port in Crete for your ferry to Santorini. As you arrive in Santorini, you will be met by your Students Fare ambassador and transferred to your hotel. Today is perfect to explore what many people consider to be the most beautiful island in the world. Don’t forget, gathering at sunset is a must!
After breakfast, your guide will take you on a full-day tour of the island which will include the main town of Fira, stunning Oia, and the ancient town of Akrotiri, which is still being excavated. You’ll have plenty of time after the tour to unwind and enjoy your hotel.
Today you can spend a full morning and afternoon on your own before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Athens. You will stay overnight near the airport, and fly out the next day.
It’s time to say goodbye to Greece – or maybe just “until next time.”
